Extend the possibilities of your GC or GCMS system with the new Pyrolyzer Py-2020iD from Frontier Lab. It gives you all means for the comprehensive analysis of polymer samples. Installation is possible on the Shimadzu products GC-17A, GC-2010, QP-5000 Vers.2, QP-5050A and GCMS-QP2010. The special furnace design porvides highly reproducible pyrolysis and chracterisation of the polymer samples. The Py-2020iD is coupled to the GC via a complete inert pathway to prevent loss of compounds at active centres or cold spots.

It combines two Powerful Techniques:

• Double-Shot is the unique combination of Thermal Desorption and Pyrolysis. It can be used for volatile compounds in polymeric materials first, and then for the polymer itself.
• Evolved Gas Analysis = EGA allows on-line MS analysis of compounds evolved from the polymer over a wide temperature programming range.
• With the Frontier Lab EGA & Pyrogram libraries and search algorithm users can take advantage of all available data and identify unknown polymeric material rapidly and specifically.
