of scientific, industrial and process control equipment. The manufacture
of analytical instruments began in the US in 1983 and in Europe
in 1987.
The company has a reputation for high performance instruments
ranging from chromatographs, mass spectrometers environmental water
and gas analysers to surface and thermal analysis apparatus. Since
as early as 1918, Shimadzu has been involved in the production
of scales.
