Lectures and Practical work
- Lectures and Practical work
- An introduction
to infrared spectroscopy
- Theory of FTIR spectroscopy
- Measuring
samples and optimising parameters
- Basic sample
handling for solids, gases, and liquids
- ATR
and DRIFTS accessories
Course Objectives
This course covers the basic theory and operation of
FTIR spectrometers, with an introduction to the most
common sampling techniques, including ATR. The course
objective is to provide customers with the ability
to optimise routine measurements and allow them to
evaluate alternative sampling techniques. The course
is classroom based, but practical demonstrations will
be given wherever possible.
Course Prerequisites
Customers will preferably have some
experience of using FTIR spectrometers, but the course
is designed for first time users and will assume no
previous knowledge of FTIR Spectroscopy.
