- Lectures and Practical work
- An introduction
to ultraviolet & visible spectroscopy
- Theory
of UV-Vis Spectroscopy
- Measuring samples and optimising
parameters
- Sample cells for routine and advanced
applications
- Accessories for automation, heating,
and solids
Course Objectives
This course covers the basic theory and operation of
PC controlled and stand-alone UV-Vis spectrophotometers,
with an introduction to routine sampling methods and
some advanced techniques. The course objective is to
provide customers with the ability to optimise routine
measurements and to allow them to evaluate alternative
sampling techniques. The course is classroom based,
but practical demonstrations will be given wherever
possible.
Course Prerequisites
Customers will preferably have some experience of using
UV-Vis instrumentation, but the course is designed
for first time users and will assume no previous knowledge
of UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
